NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION NEAR RANGE/GRATIOT
TO: The residents and property owners of the Township of Kimball, St. Clair County, Michigan as listed below and all other interested persons.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on April 16, 2024, the Township Board of Kimball Township proposed a Special Assessment District for the provision of Sanitary Sewer sufficient for commercial development near Range Rd and Gratiot Rd.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that in accordance with the foregoing, and the laws and statutes of the State of Michigan, the Township Board will hold a public hearing at the Township Office, 2160 Wadhams Rd, Kimball Township, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 commencing at 6:30 pm to consider the proposed special assessment district.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed project cost will be $262,200 to be assessed against taxable land and premises within the Township based on REU/OUF’s as defined in the Township’s Ordinance 152.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that copies of the proposed budgets for the aforesaid expenditures and the proposed special assessment district therefore may be inspected at the office of the Township Clerk, 2160 Wadhams Rd, within the Township on regular business days of such office and may also be inspected at the aforesaid public hearings.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that at the aforesaid public hearings, the Township Board will review said proposed special district and any comments or objections thereto which may be made or filed with said Board at or prior to the time of said public hearings, and will consider any revisions, amendments or changes to said proposed special assessment district.
The Township will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services, to individuals with disabilities at the hearing upon reasonable notice to the Park Township Clerk of the need for the same. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the office of the Township Clerk by writing or calling the undersigned Clerk at least five days prior to the hearing.
All interested persons are invited to be present at the aforesaid time and place to submit comments concerning any of the foregoing, or to protest the proposed special assessment rolls.
