NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON 11TH STREET IMPROVEMENT
TO: The residents and property owners listed below.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Kimball Township Board of Trustees has received a petition requesting the improvement of 11th Street East of Pickford to I-94.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that in the Township Board’s Resolution of April 16, 2024 requires a public hearing on the improvement.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that in accordance with the foregoing, and the laws and statutes of the State of Michigan, the Township Board will hold a public hearing at the Township Office, 2160 Wadhams Rd, Kimball, MI 48074 on April 30, 2024 commencing at 6:30 pm to consider this improvement.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the estimated amount of the improvement will be $180,000, to be funded on a per parcel basis to all properties benefitting from the improvement.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that at the aforesaid public hearings, the Township Board will review comments or objections thereto which may be made or filed with said Board at or prior to the time of said public hearings,
Upon completion of the public hearing, interested parties will have 30 days to file a formal petition of a minimum of 50% of the land in the proposed district, prior to the Township Board creating the special assessment district.
The Township will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities at the hearing upon reasonable notice to the Kimball Township Clerk of the need for the same. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the office of the Township Clerk by writing or calling the undersigned Clerk at least five days prior to the hearing.
All interested persons are invited to be present at the aforesaid time and place to submit comments concerning any of the foregoing, or to protest the proposed improvement.
