Public Hearing
There will be a public hearing on the purchase of property along the Black River for the purposes of establishing a kayak and canoe launch. The meeting will take place March 4 at 6:30 pm at the Township office located at 2160 Wadhams Rd, Kimball, MI 48074

Project Details
For many years, community members have parks along Wadhams Rd just south of North Rd to access the Black River for kayaking and canoeing. Then traversed the difficult landscape to proceed to the river and launch from a steep embankment. The township has agreed to purchase property off of North that will have river access and allow the Township to put in an accessible kayak and canoe launch.
Our grant application through the MDNR Trust Fund, is for the purchase of the property, currently being held by the Community Foundation until we are able to obtain the grant.
