Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour + Benefits
Kimball Township is seeking a dedicated, full-time Park Attendant to help maintain our parks and public spaces year-round. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in keeping parks beautiful, and can interact well with the public, we’d love to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform lawn care duties, including mowing, trimming, and general landscaping.
- Maintain and perform basic repairs on park equipment, facilities, and tools.
- Keep park grounds clean and safe by removing debris and emptying trash receptacles.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow removal and preparing facilities for events.
- Interact with the public in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with park-related inquiries.
- Monitor park areas for safety concerns and report any issues to township staff.
Qualifications:
- Experience with basic lawn care and landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.).
- Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ability to work independently and follow a schedule.
- Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical labor as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
