Absentee Voting Information
Absentee ballots will be mailed beginning September 24, 2026. If you are registered as a permanent absentee voter, please allow 7 to 10 days to receive your ballot.
Once you receive your ballot, you may return it by:
- Mailing it back using the prepaid return envelope (please mail early to ensure timely delivery)
- Depositing it in the Township’s secure 24-hour official ballot drop box
- Returning it in person to the Township Office
- Voting the ballot during the Early Voting period or on Election Day
If you are not enrolled on the Permanent Absentee Ballot List, you must submit a new absentee ballot application for each election in which you wish to receive a ballot by mail.
To request an absentee ballot, visit the Michigan Voter Information Center: Michigan Voter Information Center or stop by and fill out an application at our office.

Extended evening hours on Wednesday, October 28, are provided to accommodate residents who work during the day.
Sunday, November 1, is the final day of Michigan’s statewide early voting period.
Absentee Ballot Processing
Monday, November 2, 2026
There will be no regular in-person voting on Monday, November 2.
The Kimball Township Absent Voter Counting Board (AVCB) will process absentee ballots received through the close of the early voting period.
Processing Hours:
8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Members of the public may observe the ballot processing activities. Observers must remain within the designated public observation area and follow all instructions provided by election officials.
