Usakowski opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Usakowski, Jackson, Wrubel, Deland and Ward.
ABSENT: Hoffman and Nelson.
- APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Wrubel motioned to approve the agenda as presented supported by Ward.
Motion Carried.
- RALPH C. WILSON FOUNDATION GRANT RESOLUTION 2024-31
Usakowski: The Community Foundation has purchased the property for us. We need to apply for a grant through the Ralph C. Wilson Foundation Fund.
Deland motioned to go forward with applying for the grant supported by Ward.
ROLL CALL VOTE: YES: Deland, Ward, Usakowski, Jackson and Wrubel.
NO: None. ABSENT: Hoffman and Nelson. (5-0-2) Motion Carried.
- CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT REGARDING PA233
Usakowski mentioned that Public Act 233 has stripped all municipalities of their zoning rights in regards to wind and solar. They are now trying to take away our rights in regards to fencing, setbacks, hedges height and sound. Usakowski suggests we join in with this lawsuit to help our residents. Cost is less than $10,000.00, the more municipalities the lower the cost. The MPSC order adds that the municipalities cannot impose any additional restrictions.
Ward motioned to join in with the other municipalities with this lawsuit supported by Deland. Motion Carried.
