Usakowski opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Usakowski, Jackson, Wrubel, Deland, Ward and Nelson.
ABSENT: Hoffman
I. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Deland motioned to accept, Ward seconded, all were in favor, Motion Carried.
II. PRESENTATION OF MINUTES of 05/21/2024, 2024 AND 5/28/2024
Nelson mentioned two corrections. Jackson made motion to accept with corrections, Nelson seconded, all were in favor. Motion carried.
III. CONSENT AGENDA AND COMMUNICATIONS

V. PUBLIC COMMENT (Brief Comments)
John Dondineau, 1931 Maple Rd: RE: Culverts still need to be cleaned out and the ditches are not draining because the neighbors are planting flowers in them. Rob told him that the county has been contacted and we are waiting on their response. Rob will call him back when we hear something.
VI. OLD BUSINESS

VII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Acknowledged Hammers donation of the dumpsters and Paul for his time. Deland and Jackson commented their thanks.
B. Request for expenditure over $500 for MTA Membership/Education. For membership dues.

Per Rob: We the board personally support the parents right to choose how their children are to be education.

E. Resolution 24:18: Discussion
Rob explained about the red flag laws, we do not enforce these and are asking the county to support this as well. Our township is in support to the Constitution of the United States.

F. Resolution 24-18: Discussion
Unfortunately wind and solar did not receive enough signatures to be on the November ballot, but we must look ahead to the next time we can secure enough signatures for a chance to have this placed on the next ballot.
In the meantime, the moratorium will expire 11-29-24. If crosses township lines, we have to adopt the other townships ordinance.

Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Shelly Gilbert spoke about the Derby. DNR will be there, Zebco donating poles, Anderson Pro-bait to donate the bait.
-Holes to be dug this week for the Play equipment
-Blue Water Fallen Heros to come down at end of week.

-Memorial Day flags to come down this weekend at the Cemetery

-Cemetery looks nice
-Brought up smoking ordinance in regards to government buildings. Need to have signs and remove butt can.

-Suggested the $50,000 that is being gifted to the township could be used for a new recording system.
Ward
-Thank you for the resolution passed for homeschoolers. Baseball fundraiser to be partnered with S.O.N.S. Ministry. Event to take place July 10 @ 4pm. Ages 7-14.
-Looking for volunteers to work concession stand at the ballpark to relieve parents. 2.5 hours 6-8:30pm M-F
