Regular Meeting/Public Hearing

March 23, 2021

Open Meeting:
Barrett opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 6:36 p.m.

Roll Call of Members: Present: Barrett, Henry, Tuttle, and Howard. Absent: Orr, Hoffman, Miller

Also Present: Carwyn-Deputy Clerk/Recording Secretary

1. Approval of Agenda-Regular Meeting/Public Hearing
   

   Request to amend Agenda to remove 4a. Provo and 4c. Range Road Nursery.
   

   Henry motioned to approve the agenda as amended. Seconded by Tuttle. Roll Call Vote:
   Yes: Henry, Tuttle, Howard and Barrett. Absent: Orr, Hoffman, Miller. Motion Carried.
   

2. Approval of the Minutes February 23, 2021
   

   Howard motioned to approve the minutes as presented. Seconded by Henry. Roll Call Vote:
   Yes: Howard, Henry, Barrett. Abstain: Tuttle Absent: Orr, Hoffman, Miller. Motion Carried.
   

1. New Business
   
   1. Public Hearing: SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE: 74-25-005-2009-000: 6463 Lapeer Road. Equipment Repair and Parts Facility: Kube Properties, LLC
      

      Barrett opened the Public Hearing at 6:42 p.m.
      

      Review of application and documentation. Applicant not present to answer questions. Current zoning as Agricultural. No home to qualify for Home Occupation Special Exception Use. Not a Permitted Use for this zoning. Review of similar applications which had home occupation approved.
      

      Barrett closed the Public Hearing at 7:21 p.m.
      

      Henry motioned for postpone with required attendance by applicant. Support by Tuttle. Roll Call Vote:
      Yes: Henry, Tuttle, Howard, and Barrett. Absent: Orr, Hoffman, Miller. Motion Carried.
      

2. Old Business
   
   1. Hyde Application Update
      

      Barrett read letter from Hyde Excavating LLC: “Progress on the Sparling Road pond job are as follows. Driveway and culvert are in. The topsoil is all removed and piled up on site. 1/4 of the sand is piled up and ready to be hauled out. We are going to start reclamation on the east and south side of pond on March 29, 21. We can not remove any materials until the load restrictions come off. At this time we are just getting everything ready for easy removal starting also on the 29^th. All of my bonds and permits are in place and Kimball Twp has copies of them as well.”
