Open Meeting: Sturdevant opened meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Strait, Belesky, Sturdevant, and Taylor. Absent: Orr

Approval of Agenda
Sturdevant motioned to approve agenda. Seconded by Belesky. Motion Carried.

- Public Hearing: MORRIS: Variance/Class A Designation: 2740 Bartlett Road: 74-25-002-4001-000
Sturdevant opened the public hearing at 7:01 p.m.
Ronald Morris (owner, 2740 Bartlett Road) Request to add a garage to existing house. Lived at this residence for 30 years. Asking for a Variance and a Class A designation.
Sturdevant: House is 16 feet off rear property line, and proposed garage would be 12 feet off rear property line. Rear Yard Set Back in a C-2 zone is 35 feet. This would require a 19-foot variance for the house and a 23-foot variance for the proposed garage.
Class A designation would allow resident to rebuild a residence within the existing foot print in the commercial zoning.
Sturdevant moved to close the public hearing at 7:23 p.m.
Belesky: Based on the guidelines, this is an issue of a hardship with the shape of the property, as they are unable to conform to the zoning restrictions.
Belesky motioned to approve a variance of 19-foot variance for the house and a 23-foot variance for the proposed garage, based on the hardship of the property. Supported by Strait.
Roll Call Vote: Yes: Belesky, Strait, Sturdevant, and Taylor. No: None. Absent: Orr. Motion Carried.
Sturdevant motioned to approve the Class A designation in a Commercial Zone. Supported by Belesky.
Roll Call Vote: Yes: Sturdevant, Belesky, Strait, and Taylor. No: None. Absent: Orr. Motion Carried.

Sturdevant motioned to receive and file minutes. Second by Belesky.

Sturdevant requested correction on Old Business A. Should be “Sturdevant moved to approve the Class A designation, Support by Taylor”.
Sturdevant motioned to receive and file minutes as amended. Second by Strait.
May 11, 2021
Belesky motioned to receive and file minutes. Second by Sturdevant.
Sturdevant reported on activity of Kimball Township Board of Trustees and recent Community Clean Up Day success, and recent review of Lawn Care services.
Sturdevant motioned to adjourn, second by Strait. Motion Carried.
