Usakowski opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Usakowski, Jackson, Hoffman, Deland, Ward and Nelson.
ABSENT: Wrubel.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Ward motioned to approve the agenda as presented supported by Deland.
Motion Carried.

PRESENTATION OF MINUTES FOR MAY 17, 2022
Jackson motioned to approve the minutes of May 17, 2022 as presented supported by Deland. Motion Carried.
III. CONSENT AGENDA AND COMMUNICATIONS

Check Register from 05/10/2022 to 06/01/2022
- Revenue & Expenditure Report for Period Ending 05/31/2022
Deland questioned about the mileage for Dave Jewell on page 13.
Jackson: He has been taking over some of my duties by running to the bank for deposits.
Deland also questioned on page 14 about wages for Cal Hunt.
Usakowski explained.
Jackson motioned to approve the disbursement of $284,292.92 to pay the bills supported by Ward.
ROLL CALL VOTE: YES: Jackson, Ward, Nelson, Deland, Hoffman and Usakowski. NO: None. ABSENT: Wrubel. (6-0-1) Motion Carried.

Deland motioned to receive and file boards and commissions supported by Hoffman. Motion Carried.
- PUBLIC COMMENT (Brief Comments)
Dennis McCallom, 702 Allen Road: Questioned the expenditure report page 8 about the drains. Also page 27 about the work on Sparling Road and ditching.
Usakowski explained.
McCallom also questioned about the mileage payment for Erickson.
Usakowski explained that it was partly for the conference he went to.

NEW BUSINESS
- St. Clair County Road Commission: Anglewood Lane Ditching
Usakowski motioned to approve the ditching on Anglewood Lane supported by Deland.
ROLL CALL VOTE: YES: Usakowski, Deland, Ward, Nelson, Jackson and Hoffman. NO: None. ABSENT: Wrubel. (6-0-1) Motion Carried.
- St. Clair County Road Commission: Sparling Road Crossroad Culvert
Usakowski suggested that this be brought back to the next meeting.
- Annual Outdoor Warning Siren Preventive Maintenance Program
Usakowski: This is just an informative item.
Hoffman: The siren at Lapeer and Allen Roads is not working at the round-about.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Megan Bowen, 5750 Ravenswood Road: Questioned about shooting in the township and the blowing up of tannerite. What is the rule for that?
Usakowski: We don’t have an ordinance for that but we do have a Noise Ordinance in place. There are some state regulations.
Bowen: Are we considering anything for that?
Usakowski: We certainly could.
Bowen: It sounds like cannons going off. And he is teaching classes over there now.
Discussion.
Usakowski: We will review this.
IX. OFFICERS REPORT
- Supervisor Usakowski
Parks Committee: They are doing a great job and have great ideas.
We are having a workshop here on July 30th to brainstorm.
ARPA Surveys: We have gotten 120 suggestions. I am going to go through them and prioritize.
Blue Water Fallen Hero’s banners were hung up outside. Brackets for them are on backorder.
We had eight dumpsters on the clean-up day. It was a good turnout.
Bob Wiley: Edward Lane phragmite. It is not an actual drain that is going through there. He thinks it is a natural spring.
Culvers: Addressed concerns.

- Treasurer Jackson
Wage increase for Deputies but waiting until other contract negotiations are done. Request to bring back at next meeting.
Usakowski: We made an offer about a month ago on the contract but I haven’t heard anything back yet.
Audit will be June 20th to the 22nd.
Financial Review.
- Trustee Hoffman
No report.
- Trustee Deland
Questioned about the railroad tracks at Allen Road and who we contact to get them fixed.
Usakowski: The County Road Commission.
Deland: I would like to thank Shelly Gilbert for helping with the clean-up.
- Trustee Nelson
I met with Chief Gratz about the Fire Department Millage. I looked at the Zoning Ordinance online and it has a lot of typos and I got a new one from Connie that is correct.
- Trustee Ward
We had picture day and had 200 kids show up for it.
Our season is about half way through, encouraged others to come out and watch the teams play. Four teams are going to districts.
