REGULAR MEETING

JANUARY 04, 2022

6:30 P.M.

Usakowski opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Usakowski, Jackson, Wrubel, Hoffman, Deland and Ward.

ABSENT: Sturdevant.

  1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA

    Wrubel motioned to approve the agenda as presented supported by Deland.

    Motion Carried.

  1. PRESENTATION OF MINUTES FOR DECEMBER 21, 2021

    Jackson motioned to approve the minutes for December 21, 2021 as presented supported by Ward. Motion Carried.

  1. Revenue & Expenditure Report for Period Ending 12/31/2021

Jackson motioned to approve the disbursement of $199,183.32 to pay the bills supported by Wrubel.

ROLL CALL VOTE: YES: Jackson, Wrubel, Hoffman, Deland, Ward and Usakowski. NO: None. ABSENT: Sturdevant. (6-0-1) Motion Carried.

Deland motioned to receive and file Boards and Commissions supported by Hoffman. Motion Carried.

  2. Cemetery Board

Usakowski: We have two spots on the Cemetery Board open and we have three applicants to fill them.

Wrubel: The Cemetery Board meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m.

Usakowski motioned to approve hiring Shelly Gilbert and Amanda Gregg to the Cemetery Board and check on having Megan Bowen as an alternative supported by Deland. Motion Carried.

Deland motioned to hire Nancy Crowe to the Zoning Board of Appeals supported by Wrubel. Motion Carried.

  1. NEW BUSINESS
    1. MTA Online Learning

    Usakowski: Our subscription has expired and it is time to renew it. We had the Premium Pass which was $1,900. I would recommend to continue with the same Premium Pass.

    Deland motioned to approve the renewal of the MTA Online Learning membership at a cost of $1,900 supported by Hoffman.

    ROLL CALL VOTE: YES: Deland, Hoffman, Ward, Wrubel, Jackson and Usakowski. NO: None. ABSENT: Sturdevant. (6-0-1) Motion Carried.

  1. Uncollectable Fire Bills
    1. Joseph Smith: Deceased

    Wrubel motioned to dismiss Joseph Smith’s fire bill totaling $605.00 supported by Jackson. Motion Carried.

    1. Hugh Hedeem

    Jackson motioned to remove the bill from Hugh Hedeem Estates for $2,963.60 supported by Wrubel. Motion Carried.

  1. Charles Nurnberg

Deland motioned to dismiss the bill for Charles Nurnberg of $350.00 supported by Ward. Motion Carried.

XI.    OFFICERS REPORT

A. Supervisor Usakowski

We are looking into getting a Tire Clean up Grant. We have to apply for it by January 14th. Options for tires: up to 10 tires per household.

B.
Clerk Wrubel

The Election Committee has approved the four precincts.

There will be a burial in the old cemetery later this week.

I have a list of sewer hookups that need to be done.

I spent about three hours on the phone with Port City Communications about their service fees. They are not willing to work with us. I am making contact with Med Connections which is what the county uses and maybe switching over to them.

Current tax season discussion.

Revenue Sharing received.

  1. Trustee Hoffman

    No report.

  1. Trustee Sturdevant

Absent. Fish Fry Friday and it is take out only.
