Press Release|

Kimball Township Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant testing starting today, running through to the end of June 2014.

The program is designed to test dead-end and loop system fire hydrants within the township to determine whether or not they are operating efficiently and to be compliant with ISO ratings.

Residents may experience a fluctuation in water pressure and cloudy or discolored water during the inspection period. If this occurs, residents and businesses are advised to run their cold water tap at the lowest point of their house for several minutes or until it becomes clear. The Fire Department regrets any inconvenience this testing may create for our residents and businesses. However, the inspections are necessary to ensure the city’s fire protection and safety.

If residents have any questions or concerns in regard to the hydrant inspection program, please contact Fire Chief Gratz at 810-982-9461
