REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 14, 2024

                                                                                                                       10:00 A.M

Gregg opened the meeting at 10:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS:  Gilbert, Gregg and Nielsen.

 

ABSENT:  Wager.

 

ALSO PRESENT:  Clerk Wrubel.

 

I.      COMMUNICATIONS

A.     Kimball Township Cemetery Board Minutes for February 14, 2024 approved by    Nielsen and supported by Gilbert.

ll.    OLD BUSINESS 

A.   Master Plan

1.   At the site of where the house was going to be built is overgrown.

 

2.    There have been issues with the disposal of trash and debris being tossed      over the fences on to private property.

 

3.    H.P. has been dumping sand on the east side of the new area or close to the    drive that is an easement to the property behind the cemetery.

 

4.   Bids for a hand well are being sought after.

 

B.   Ordinance

There have been issues with SXS and dirt bikes who have no respect for the cemetery and the families who occupy the ground as well as other recreational vehicles entering the cemetery.  There is also an issue with people entering the cemetery during the night when the cemetery closes at dusk.

 

C.   New Board Members

We would like to welcome Matt Gurjack and Janet Swierkowsz to the board.  Both were sworn in today February 14, 2024.

 

D.   Friends of the Cemetery

Help with fund raising as well as gathering donations for plants.

 

 

lll.   NEW BUSINESS  

A.   If there are issues with any of the cemeteries a work order needs to be put into the D.P.W.

 

B.   The “Phone to Heaven” needs to be checked on if it is a live communication.

 

C.   Information on the Mallory cemetery has been found at the old Smiths Creek School.

 

lV.  ADJOURNMENT

Nielsen motioned to adjourn the meeting at 12:05 p.m. supported by Swierkosz.

Motion Carried.
