Regular Meeting/Public Hearing

April 27, 2021

Open Meeting: Orr opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 6:32 p.m.

Roll Call of Members:
Present: Miller, Henry, Barrett, Orr, Tuttle, Howard and Hoffman. Absent: None.

Also Present:
Erickson-Zoning Admin

 

  1. Approval of Agenda-Regular Meeting/Public Hearing

    Henry motioned to approve the agenda as amended. Seconded by Miller. Motion Carried.

     

  2. Approval of the Minutes March 23, 2021

    Hoffman motioned to approve the minutes as amended. Seconded by Howard. Motion Carried.

    1. SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE: 74-25-005-2009-000: 6463 Lapeer Road. Equipment Repair and Parts Facility: Kube Properties, LLC

 

Anthony Kuberski (Owner) Family and son is owner of property for 8-9 years of ownership. Application was submitted for home owner application. Applicant is requesting special exception. Excavator business was there prior. Russel Knox (Knox Transport) renting. Fabrication (Metal, cutting, welding). No engine work, no use of oil. Signage: None requested at this time.

 

Mark Melton (6531 Lapeer) Question about noise level. Issue will be addressed for neighbor (air compressor).

 

Discussion regarding Special Use, applicant informed that auto/garage facilities are a special use exception in C-2 zoning District. Applicant request was for a home occupation in the Ag zoning district.

 

Barrett motioned to approve Special Use per Ag District Zoning 13B and 15 a-g with applicant submitting Special Use exception application that addresses zoning ordinance section stated within to Planning Commission for its May 25th meeting for final approval. Second by Hoffman.
