REGULAR MEETING
December 11, 2013
10:00 A.M.
Meeting called to order at 10:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS: Present: Sturdevant, Cline, Bennett, and Wagar
Absent: Pung.
Also Present: N. Erickson and R. Hand.
I. COMMUNICATIONS
a. Minutes of Kimball Township Cemetery Advisory Board – November 13, 2013.
Motion by Cline to accept as presented supported by Bennett. Motion Carried.
b. Minutes of Kimball Township Board of Trustees – November 19, 2013.
Received by M. Sturdevant.
II. OLD BUSINESS
- Cemetery Expansion
Erickson stated that Mr. Sparling had been in contact with Mr. Koveck. The two have agreed on how to move the dirt piles out of the way, so Mr. Sparling can finish constructing his driveway back to his property. Erickson did not believe that all of the dirt would be removed, just what had to be moved out of the way. Wagar asked Hand about the clearing of the trees on the new property. Hand stated that he still had a couple of people who wanted to cut down the trees for the wood. Sturdevant asked if they would clean up the mess or just cut the tress and leave the brush for the township to worry about. Hand thought they would just cut down the trees. Sturdevant stated that this would not be good. If they are not going to remove the stump and brush, then stay out. It will be easier and less costly just to push all of the trees and brush into one big pile and be done. Hand agreed and will state this to any further inquiries about removing the wood.
- Board Terms
Sturdevant stated that two of the cemetery board members terms would be ending on December 31, 2013. These two board members need to get and application from R. Hand, fill it out and turn it back in before the last Township Board of Trustees meeting to be considered for reappointment. The application needs to be on file before the meeting. One of the members did get the application turned in.
As of December 11, 2013 the other board member has not turned in the application. Hand stated that another township resident had filled out the application for the cemetery board. At the next Township Board of Trustees meeting, the board will reappoint whoever filled out the application and then fill any vacancies with the new applications if needed.
III. NEW BUSINESS
a. No New Business
Motion by Cline to adjourn at 11:00 a.m. supported by Bennett. Motion Carried.
